This is an excellent route the ground is soggy as is offers a heavy dose paved road. You can start at any OHV staging area on Balm Mountain Access Road. Balk Mountain Access Road is paved but traffic is light; most vehicles will be hunters or OHV connoisseurs. This route takes a OHV road at mile 11.8 that can be dicey. If you want to stick to pavement, stay straight to Bible Creek Road, which will then connect back to NF-14 to continue the route. NF-14 is best on weekends; if you ride it on a weekday, expect logging trucks. This round also includes an out-and-back to Oregon's Niagara falls. If you are really jonesing for negative ions, then feel free to take it, but beware the 1 mile/900ft climb out. Falls, or no falls, Niagara Rd will connect over to Upper Nestucca River Rr. Then you get to Zen our for 18 miles as you ride up an average 4% grade along the Nestucca River.
